For this bridge we fabricated and assembled the 22 drilled shafts and then the 22 piers that matched to the top of the piers.  The piers were composed of two intersecting and interwoven five foot diameter cages with as many as 125 vertical bars.  All materials were ASTM A706 weldable rebar.  Following the piers, we are now fabricating and constructing the large hammerhead pier caps that complete each of the new piers for this new $35,000,000 bridge.
